JOB TITLE: Enrollment & Match Coordinator – Hispanic Mentoring
ACCOUNTABILITY: Program Director
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s Degree in a Human Service field.
- Skills in public speaking, volunteer management and problem-solving.
- Demonstrate effective written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills in both English and Spanish.
- Ability to effectively and efficiently manage multiple tasks.
- Computer literacy, with ability to use MS Word, Excel and Access.
- Keep a flexible schedule (including nights and weekends) to accommodate Bigs, Littles and parents.
- Have a dependable vehicle, valid driver’s license and current auto insurance.
An Enrollment/Match Coordinator will at all times adhere to personal and professional ethics and standards of practice. An Enrollment/Match Coordinator will be committed to the mission of BBBS and represent BBBS positively and professionally in the community.
RESPONSIBILITES:
- Develop professional, positive working relationships with the Bigs, Littles and parents being enrolled in the program.
- Professionally, efficiently and effectively assess Bigs, Littles and parents coming into the program.
- Recruit both Bigs and Littles from the Hispanic community.
- Work closely with Campfire staff in regards to girls matching from their program.
- Professionally assess the on-going relationships of the matches on your caseload.
- Facilitate match meetings in a friendly, but informative way so that everyone is comfortable and also understands the guidelines.
- Maintain 100% supervision of matches with a combination of talking over the phone and meeting them in-person.
- Train Bigs enrolling into the program, as well as on-going trainings, as needed.
- Conduct problem-solving over the phone and in-person to help matches work through problems, rather than closing.
- Compile all interview materials and turn Bigs and Littles in to the Program Director in a timely manner.
- Translate needed documents into Spanish as well as take phone calls with parents/littles/bigs from both programs as needed to translate.
- Complete update interviews for Bigs and Littles as assigned.
- Enter all incoming information into the database in a timely manner.
- Actively participate in recruiting teams for Bowl For Kids’ Sake.
- Assist with other fund-raising events as needed.
- Take enrollment calls as needed.
- Attend staff meetings.
- Meet regularly with Program Director to discuss work status.
- Turn in completed monthly reports by the 5th of every month.
- Follow all guidelines in the BBBS Personnel Manual.
- Perform other duties as required by Executive Director or Program Director.
