A beautiful, sunny morning in Omaha! Thank goodness…I have been needing some sunshine. Last week was a really enjoyable week. I had the opportunity to present at the Human Resources Association of the Midlands diversity sesison on Tuesday and that was very cool. I especially enjoyed the technical session in the afternoon, which was more interactive than the keynote. It was a good day though and an opportunity to see some friends. On Wednesday I had a couple of client workshops, which went very well and Thursday morning I had a breakfast meeting with some compatriots of mine. There is a group of us that do Diversity and Inclusion work, and we get together once a month for coffee, gossip, questions, answers, etc. It is always a good opportunity for us to support each other. And on Saturday I presented for the Society of Human Resource Management North Central Regional Student Conference, which also went very well. Good times. So "work-wise", it was a good week and in addition to that, the oldest girl turned 8 on Friday…very exciting. So we did some celebrating this weekend and will be venturing to Great Wolf Lodge next weekend.
This will also be a busy week with client workshops Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. And I have workshops to promote, so back to work!
