  • how innovation happens
  • the value of different thinking styles

A Mind is a Terrible Thing to Rely On…Sometimes!

November 5th 1:00 – 2:00pm

While discussions of diversity, inclusion and culture often end up as debates about good people vs. bad people, there is much more to the story.  There certainly are people in the world with bad intentions, but there are significantly more people with good intentions that may often be influenced by stereotypical ideas and images…whether they know it or not.  With powerful insights from brain science and the field of social psychology this session will help you avoid relying too heavily on what you “think you know.” This impact session will examine:

  • the science behind stereotypes
  • key social and relational dynamics (cognitive dissonance, confirmation bias, etc.)
  • simple tools for making relationships / interactions more authentic
