Welcome!!

Greetings and welcome to ""Our Time To Act".  Hoping to promote Diversity and Inclusion work in Omaha, I have a few aspirations for this webspace:

  • Network:  I hope that this site will provide a space for those involved in the work of diversity to find each other, support each other, encourage each other and learn from each other
  • Toolkit:  I hope that this site will provide a space to share tools, resources and information about events and experiences
  • Inquiry:  I hope that this site will serve as a vehicle for us to explore what works, what does not, what we do next and what we have not yet thought of
  • Collaboration:  I hope that this site will encourage us to examine whether there are are efforts that we can partner on…are there opportunities for us to collectively move Omaha forward with regards to Diversity and Inclusion?  I think there are…maybe we can figure that out here.

Thanks for stopping by.  If not us, who?  If not now, when?

Let’s start a blog on immigration. As Bill gates stated yesterday before congress, this could become the issue that will solve many problems affecting our communities (our country). I am talking about long term solutions and in areas such as math, science, engineering.

Absolutely. I think immigration is an issue that we really need to have some ongoing dialogue around in this community.
