People to Follow

Rosetta Thurman is one of my absolute favorites on Twitter and she has become one of my favorite bloggers as well…AND, she is coming to Omaha this week!  Last Friday, she posted 5 People You Should be Following on Twitter and was kind enough to include me on her list.  It occurred to me that I should do a similar post to highlight some of my favorites from Twitter, but I am not as disciplined as Rosetta…my post is going to be bigger than five.

Ladies first.  Here are some of the women that are among my favorites on Twitter in no particular order.  Follow them.

Rosetta Thurman  Just super cool, Rosetta has a big heart, a big brain and a big soul.  Follow her and look forward to the book that she will right.  Delightful on every level, Rosetta really is a rockstar.

Patti Digh I was a fan of the wise and wonderful Patti Digh before Twitter, but Twitter makes it that much easier to be a fan.  Follow her on Twitter, read her blog and read her book.  I treasure this woman.

Samantha Thomas Super duper smart.  Super duper nice.  This woman consistently tweets really smart and/or comical stuff…and she does the best Follow Fridays ever.

fram melmed She had me at “devotee to lowercase”, but there is much more to Fran than just that killer wisdom.  Smart, engaging, doing cool work…Fran is a keeper, and I hope to spend some time with her someday.

Tanya Odom She digs diversity and always has my back, so we are just two peas in a pod.  She shares good stuff on Twitter, has a good eye and a good heart…I would love to collaborate with her on something some day.

ericka hines Even if she just posted nonsense on Twitter it would be worth following her just to see that smiling face from time to time.  But, she does not post nonsense.  Good info, good vibes and good encouragement. Diva…the good kind.

Mary Nations I have now had the good fortune of spending a bit of time with Mary Nations, but I have always been a fan.  She has a great perspective and I really appreciate what she shares on Twitter. Sharp lady with a good story.

Nilofer Merchant This is a really bright lady and a brave lady.  I have tremendous respect for Nilofer, I really enjoy following her on Twitter, and her book is one of my favorites of 2010 so far.

Susan Burns I think I interact with Susan more in real life and on the phone than Twitter, but we first met on Twitter.  She has become a dear friend, I really like the way her brain works and I look forward to more collaborative efforts.

Maren Hogan  Maren is technically my neighbor, but we met on Twitter and she remains one of my absolute favorites…she is a great hodgepodge of strictly business and ridiculosity (and I am putting a patent on that word in honor of Maren Hogan).

Jennifer McClure I have been following Jennifer for quite a while and she consistently shares good, valuable stuff.  I think that she sets a great example for the rest of us with her online presence, including Twitter.

Sharlyn Lauby Sharlyn is another example of a great online presence, I really appreciate what she shares and how she interacts.  Very authentic and a great blogger.

Mary Schaefer Mary and I found each other on Twitter, and we pretty much dug each other right away.  We have some similar beliefs regarding the work experience, and I really treasure Marys perspective.

Madame Soybean It took Twitter to make it happen, but I have found my long lost twin sister and her name is Madame Soybean! Supersmart. Supercool (of course she is, shes my twin!).

I could go on, but I have to stop somewhere.  They are wonderful ladies and you should follow them.

Be good to each other.

Well you know we share mutual "freak flag" membership. Thank you sir. You give me endless opportunities to think, get fired up, question authority and feel righteiously indignant. For that ( and being included on your list, I say thank you)

Here is to our continued virtual and one HELLRAISING day in person twitter friendship.
