I have been terribly lax in my blogging lately and that is probably going to be the case for a few more weeks just due to my schedule. Been blessed to participate in a lot of really cool events lately and I wanted to share one of them with you. A few weeks ago I attended and presented at the 2011 ASAE Great Ideas Conference in Colorado Springs. Very cool event, very cool people, very cool conversations. One of the neat things about this conference is that they built some interesting variance into the format. There were numerous 75 minute breakout sessions, like there are at most conferences, but there were also 4 hour deep-dive sessions available and about a dozen Ignite presentations. If you are not familiar with Ignite, it is a pretty interesting format…each presenter gets 5 minutes to present and gets to use 20 slides which are automatically set to advance very 15 seconds. The 5 minute length makes you get pretty specific about what you are going to say, but the 15 seconds per slide also adds an interesting timing dynamic into the mix. Anyway, cool format and I had the opportunity to do my first Ignite session at this event in Colorado Springs. Check it out…
this is an excellent brief piece. I have shared it with many friends and they to a person loved it. let your freak flag fly….
I love this. (So much.) To tell you that it spoke to me would be completely forgetting that I type this as tears slide down my weeks. HELL YES. It’s time for our freak flags to fly.
