Working with Humans: Diversity, Inclusion and Communication in our Work and in our Lives
This engaging and interactive workshop will provide participants with a deep-dive examination of diversity, inclusion and communication and the roles that they play in our work and our lives. Participants will also be introduced to tools for making their work (and other) relationships as authentic, valuable and effective as possible.
Topics and themes covered:
* Definitions of key terms
* Types and dimensions of diversity
* The science of bias, assumption and perception
* Working constructively with paradox and diversity
* Creating effective and authentic workplace relationships
* Intentional communication
Workshop will start at 8:00 promptly, at the UNO Thompson Alumni Center.
