The world moves fast at times.
Getting caught up on things, after a bit of traveling. It was my privilege to spend a bit of time in Virginia, with Working with Humans workshops in Richmond and Charlottesville and a conference in Appomattox this past week.
It is always, always good to be home, but it was a wonderful trip and involved meeting many wonderful folks. After my workshops on Friday, I had a chance to spend a bit of time with Jamie Notter and Maddie Grant. I think we could have chatted for much longer on topics of diversity, generation X, social media, Patti Digh, children, life and etc. I have come to know Jamie and Maddie through Twitter, and it was nice to get to hang out for a bit in the real world.
On Saturday, I was able to be part of the Social Media Seminar in Appomattox. It was a beautiful day and I was able to spend it with a really cool bunch of people. Linda Goin of Appomattox News cooked this idea up and made it all happen, with people coming together to think and talk about social media and what it can mean for work, play, community and our future.
Here are a few thoughts from my keynote:
Great to see you in action Joe!
And then to see mention of my friend Patti Digh was cool.
And…then to see ten postings on Des Moines!
Keep creating…with heart and passion,
Mike
