Jason Lauritsen is my very best friend. He is also a smart cookie. We also do a bit of work together spreading anarchy. In addition to all of that stuff, Jason still finds time to make other groovy stuff happen as well. His latest creative project is The HR Reinvention Project and it is going to be nothing short of rock and roll.
I remember having coffee with Jason shortly after he returned from HRevolution this May, and he had the fever. This event did not yet have a name, but the picture was already fully painted in his mind.
Time goes by and now it is October and The HR Reinvention Project is this Thursday.
I am really looking forward to being a part of this event, for several reasons:
- When Jason does stuff he does stuff that matters…its good to be there.
- I get to talk to some people about kicking HR in the ass regarding diversity and inclusion.
- It is at the Hot Shops, which is an incredible space, with incredible creative energy.
- I get to see some people that I am very fond of that I do not get to see very often. (China Gorman, Jason Seiden, Greg Harris)
- I get to meet some folks that I have very much been wanting to meet (Paul Hebert, Roger Fransecky, William Tincup (who might be one of my soul mates)).
I am blessed. Not only do I get to be a part of stuff like this and call it “work,” but I also get to be a part of stuff like this with the very best people. I get to help Reinvent HR on Thursday and you have every right to be jealous.
Be good to each other.
