Stuff.

Well I am coming off of my social media holiday which started way back on Dec. 2oth.  It was good.  There were a few quick “log ins” here and there, but for the most part I avoided the world of social media for about 3 weeks…and it was good.  And it is good to be back.  I got back on line this Monday, but it has taken me a bit longer to get back to the blog.  But I am here now, and ready to get back at it!

I am looking forward to finishing my series on the The Future of Diversity and Inclusion Work, (which would also make a great keynote presentation for all of you conference planners out there) and blogging about other aspects of this work.  But today I just want to share a bit of info and I will come back next week with some more serious posts.

I have spoken here about a diversity and inclusion unconference to take place in Omaha this April.  It is still going to take place, but it is going to happen a bit later this year.  We just came to the conclusion that we needed to reorganize and recalibrate our planning process.  It is still going to happen, it is still going to rock and roll, it is just going to happen later in the year…we will try to pick a date soon.  If you are interested in getting your hands dirty and planing a kick-ass event, give me a shout.

I am getting ready to hit the road again.  I get to keynote a MLK Day event on Monday and have a bunch of corporate gigs in January and February.  But in March the Spring conference season kicks in and you and I might be able to cross paths in our journeys…this is where I am going to be speaking in the next few months.

Friday, March 11th Northern Ohio Human Resources Conference

Saturday, March 12th SXSW

Sunday, March 13th – March 15th The Great Ideas Conference

Monday, March 28th Elevate CalSAE Conference

Tuesday, March 29th Catalyst Awards Conference

Friday, April 8th – April 9th Psychologically Healthy Workplace Conference

Friday, April 29th – NAHRO Housing Conference

Saturday, April 30th – HRevolution 2011

Maybe I will see you out there on the road?  If not now, maybe later.  A few more things, really quickly…

1- Do not forget to fly your freak flag on a regular basis.

2- Go read Letter from Birmingham Jail this weekend.  MLK Jr. said and wrote a lot of things, and in my humble opinion this letter is the best of the best.

3- Be good to each other.
